JUL 20 24: The Sovereign Voice 3 Workshop
This workshop focuses on identifying and transforming deeply rooted patterns of childhood anger that shape how people communicate. Participants learn to recognize and address swallowed or projected anger, often linked to unresolved trauma, while discovering a balanced “tough-loving” voice capable of setting firm yet compassionate boundaries. The session explains the contrast between speech that’s guided by past wounds and speech that’s free from those emotional triggers, showing how even one clear statement of justified anger can reset power dynamics in both personal and professional relationships. Through real-life scenarios, the workshop demonstrates how small but consistent steps—such as respectfully stating disappointment—can foster self-regulation and restore a sense of agency. By the end, attendees gain practical strategies for guiding their inner child through moments of fear or defiance, quieting negative self-talk, and upholding a more self-assured, adult presence in daily life.

AUG 3 24 The Sovereign Voice 3: Homework Session
This workshop focuses on the process of developing a confident adult voice that effectively addresses both internal and external challenges, stemming from unresolved childhood trauma. Participants explore the essential skill of distinguishing between emotional triggers rooted in early experiences and genuine present-moment conflicts. They learn to address issues such as the harsh inner critic, fearful or defiant inner teens, and complicated external relationships, all while practicing co-regulation and boundary-setting. Through shared examples, group members illustrate how seemingly small interactions—like navigating miscommunications, expressing annoyance or anger, and tackling self-doubt—can serve as pivotal opportunities for healing. By continually practicing mindful self-parenting, participants move closer to sustaining an authentic sense of safety, well-being, and personal authority. Throughout, the workshop emphasizes the freedom that arises when lingering resentments are released and emotional reactions are guided by clarity and compassion rather than old narratives.
